Hi guys I’m on 1mg ozempic past 8 weeks.I have lost 1stone 11 lbs which is amazing however my bloods are still 18 this morning n most mornings 14 . I am awaiting my hba1c results but I know she will tell me to take glicazide as well but I really don’t want to put the weight back on !
I’m extremely tired n have no energy but can’t sleep however I do have fibromyalgia. Any help appreciated x

Hi I have a weetabix or porridge for breakfast, I don’t eat at lunch n have cooked meal at night which is usually meat n veg but my appetite is very poor on ozempic don’t have many carbs as that makes my bloods high

Weetabix will make you spike. Possibly the porridge as well. Do you use a meter?

It is likely to be the dawn phenomenon. Your liver is dumping glucose to help get you going. It is usually the last number to come down.

Just got my results..... 80 or 9.5 the old way ... DN calling later ... so looks like more meds ! thank u for your reply been like this for a long time so used to it now !

Just spoke to DN n feel much better now ! Weetabix is ok n gunna try almond milk .
I’ve only been on it for a month on 1mg so she’s not worried as I had a bad kidney infection in November and this is reflected in my results so it’s just carry on as I am till April n then look at it again x
Going to cut out the weetabix n have bacon n eggs ! Thank u for listening to me it seems I’m panicking for nothing!

When you don't understand something, it's easy to panic.

Remember that breakfast is just breaking your fast. It can be anything you fancy. Heat up last night's stew or soup. Chicken in the fridge?

I had a chunk of cheese for mine.

Wanting to get your blood glucose down to normal levels is NOT panicking!

ditching cereals, bread, rice, pasta, sugar, sweet fruit and juice, etc. will help a lot.

I’m rather unimpressed that your nurse is happy to leave your blood glucose high for months at a time.
