Warm Greetings from Cleveland, Ohio! I am new to this site and hope to help and be helped. My name is Cindy, I am a L.P.N., Mom to a wonderful daughter and a Type2 Diabetic who has kept my blood sugar in check for two years thru a low carb lifestyle and exercise. I want you to know that you can do it and there is hope! I started with 5 minutes of exercise a day and increased it 2 minutes every few days. When I reached 45 minutes, I stuck with it. 45 minutes a day and I take a day off when I need one. I do not take more than one day off.
As you may have noticed I have quite a few medical issues. I am wondering if anyone else is in the same situation and how do you deal with the constant tired feeling? Thank you!

Hi @ace115615 .
You're very positive in your approach to your/our medical problems.
On investigation by laparoscopy my private consultant in London (blackheath hospital) found I had very little amount of cysts and was surprised at my heavy weight. No diabetes was diagnosed at this point either. He lazered what he saw. He did however discover a clubbed ovary with adhersions and skin covering damaged ovary. It has not been confirmed but when my appendix burst 10yrs previously I'm assuming damage occured. Surgeon saved my life, only 14yr old at the time. I never suffered any ill effects from ruptured appendix or was never told I'd have any. (Although my mum in attendance may not of understood if anything was mentioned or has deliberately save that info from me, even now.)
IVF professor at St. Thomas' s London hospital allowed me to be 15.5 stones in weight to progress to start my first cycle. On stopping Metformin via london trials on professors instructions I added 2-3 stones in the 6weeks of ivf treatment. Ivf failed as no successful implant onto my womb lining. (Due to added weight I was told.)
I did not take Metformin again until I was diagnosed with diabetes 8yrs later.
In the past I also suffered with bell's palsy, years before Metformin trials or mention of diabetes.
So. Born premature, baby pneumonia with young child thrush and thirst/lethargic symptoms. Then in adulthood - appendicitis, bell's palsy, hypothyroidism, pcos then diabetes. I'm still here. :) Alive and kicking.
Lack of energy only improved for me with steady bgs long term. My body doesn't like having to fight carbs or any sort of fruit.
I read somewhere some vegtables can be hazardous to thyroid problems. I find the opposite, vegtables none root based helped with my hypothyroidism.
However everyone is different. It's trial and error.
