Pain in toe could it be diabetes related?

Hey there,

Yesterday i put a insole in my shoes. When i put on the shoes I noticed a pain in my second (biggest) toe on my left foot.

So i thought maybe the insole pressures my toe too much against the top of my shoe.
Took the shoes off but now next day I still notice the pain on that one toe if i pull my toes upward. Its quite painful as if someone stepped on it or something. I dont have any loss of ability to feel cold or heat or anything. But could this still be diabetes type 1 related? Does anyone experienced something like this?

Hope its nothing but really cant think of any other possible cause.

The only similar thing I once experienced like that turned out to be gout. Ibu Profen helped. When I lost a toe due to diabetes there was no doubt about it since it turned black with green highlights and it was amputated.

Hi @TimLibre

It could may well have been the pressure from the insole and it could have buried your toe, but as always with things like this it’s best to get it checked out by your GP, it could be any number of things, as you know we can’t give medical advice or diagnose on the forum, I think you can self refer to a podiatrist through the NHS, like I say best to get it checked out :)
