There was an article in the papers concerning those who took statins and blood pressure pills getting muscular pain.I am in that group and I am suffering muscular pain in hip, back, neck wrists and knees,Should I suffer the pain as I need the pills?

Hi Carbo, yes statins can cause muscle pain, particularly Simvastatin so I understand. Try talking to your Doc, they can change you onto a different statin or reduce your dose to help improve your pain.

i was on simvastatin and had muscle pains and memory loss my gp did not want to know but we had a locom come to our practise and she put me on to atorvaststin and they suit me .See another docter they may help.Hope it get's sorted out soon.
