Recently developed heel pain and now wondering if its the start of neuropathy and how to manage it:(

Hi @borderter,

I don't have any advice for you sorry, but I do have the exact same problem on both heels. The pain is in exactly the same place and they are both turning into hard lumps (not visable lumps but I can feel them). I am booking a doctors appointment in the next couple of weeks so will let you know the outcome. Or have you already seen your GP yourself?

Mine are causing a lot of hassle to be honest. When I wake up and move my feet it is unbearable pain, they touch a bit of the sheet that's ruffled and it's agony. To the point of screaming out. It then gets easier throughout the day, but is still constant pain. I work on my feet all day and have done for years. This has only started since being diagnosed with diabetes, so I can't help but think it's connected in some way.

I hope you've had yours sorted in the meantime, but I'd love to hear from you either way.

GP referred me to podiatrist but as yet no appt. Lizzie yours sounds so much worse than mine so hope you get some relief soon

Thank you, I hope it gets sorted too! That's good news for you in a way, at least you're seeing an expert in that field, so they can hopefully give you some answers and relieve the pain. I just hope you don't have to wait too long for the appointment! I had better get to my GP too then, incase I have a long wait. x

Going to keep up with this thread as I also have painful under heels, one more so than the other at the moment. I have suffered with very dry cracked skin on both heels which I have attempted to heal myself ( and probably unwisely removed skin with a blade ) . Please let us know any updates x
