I would get into trouble if I told you, but I am a red. I support dogs donkeys birds Palestine and Rspca.
When my daughter and I were DNA tested for breast cancer and ovarian cancer genes; in addition to a probable 3rd breast cancer gene we have a pancreatic cancer gene. At first it was felt only my daughter was at risk (80%) of developing pancreatic cancer because she had relatives that died of it on her father's side, I have found out so do I as I found I few mainly female relatives that died of it.
I had a total histo -oopherectomy( removal of ovaries), and I have had lumpectomy and axillary lymph node removal for breast cancer followed by radiotherapy. My daughter is under going a double mastectomy and hysterectomy and oopherectomy this year she is 33.
I feel really guilty for passing this lot on to her and my 3 granddaughters, I hope my grandsons are immune to this.
I also wonder what our joint exposure to radiation could have brought into this unholy brew, The small village we lived in in Wales has plutonium in houses, beach, and children's paddling pool. In addition our area of North Wales was covered in fallout from Chernobyl, my father also took me to look at the fire at what was then Windscale now Sellafield.
I have often wondered especially following the devastating DNA profile if Diabetes is in this triad in some way? We are told type 2 diabetics are fat, hope the gurus are really sure about this, because I have noticed that the weight gain and diabetes arrive together. I feel ready to do mischief to anyone else that says I have diabetes because I am fat, I have 1.5 type not 2 and I have a terrible time trying to loose wieght.
