Hi everyone I'm actually type 1 diabetic since 13 years old but later went on to develop chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic Insufficiency.
Struggling at the moment while they adjust my Creon dosage. Waiting for a referral to a more specialised dietician.
Just wondered if anyone gets severe hypos when they have an attack of pancreatitis?
I find the attacks come on very suddenly, severe upper right abdominal pain that radiates into the back, nausea, diarrhea ( severe ) , rapid pulse , sweating and my blood sugar drops very rapidly. The hypos are very hard to treat, not only because I feel so poorly I struggle to invest anything, it takes a LOT of carbs to bring me back in range. The symptoms all happen at once, it is not like one is causing the other.
Thanks in advance for any help
