It is strange that no one ever mentions problems other than diabetes relating to pancreas. I consider myself to be an educated person, who has worked in the caring profession and until my panc packed up I had no idea how important an organ it was.
As you know just how difficult life becomes and how your body seems drained of energy constantly.
When my panc problems began, i thought my tummy looked odd and my chest seemed lifted. Unbeknown to me my stomach had lifted away from its usual position and was pushing against my diaphragm this caused lungs to be lifted and pushed over. Ambulance crew kept asking if my breathing was normally like it sounded, i didn't think it sounded any different. In hospital they asked my to lay flat and i couldn't as it felt like i was drowning, although i didn't feel stomach lifting i certainly felt it fall back into place (after 2 weeks of oxygen therapy and antibiotics) all because panc had an infection
