I have had a panic attack while getting my pulse checked in my feet.
Newly diagnosed type 2.
I have a fear of doctors/hospitals/needles the lot.
Anyone have the same issue?

I get panic attacks, yes, but mine aren't about anything I know of. It's just a total feeling of dread, but I don't know what. Doesn't happen often, but mine is due to some trauma that happened about 10 years ago. I'm hoping they stop at some point soon. It's a terrible thing. I hope you can work your way through it Guy,

:banghead:Yes the same, very reluctant to go for tests etc and before Covid if I could have worn a mask I would have. Suffered with panic attacks on and off for years - husband does to. Hope you feel a bit better soon, its not easy x

Hi yes me too, it took quite a bit for me to use the lancet, but in the end I did it. I hate any kind of tests that involve taking blood, as my veins are very thin and last time they had to use a needle size that they usually use for babies. Always been the same with my veins, same with my mam, just how we were made I suppose but I dread, really really dread that **** blood testing. So yes I get panicky as soon as I know there is an appt made. Hope you feel better about it all soon.

Yes, and it's no help when the Lab Tech gets all excited about me having good veins :hilarious: I still have to look away and breath in and out slowly ;) I knew it was going to be rough back in 1st grade when we were standing in the "wash hands line" for lunchtime, and a little boy that was usually in trouble for something, reached over to a table and used the stapler on his finger.
Pour teacher was busy trying to get him fixed up and then picking me up off the floor (fainted dead away) and carry me off to the Principles Office. Those were the days:smug:
