Many thanks all, you helped me through a few really scary hours last night, you are great!
The doctor at A&E first wanted to keep me in but then the levels went down to 14.9 and he said, i could go home but see my GP first thing in the morning. He sent him an email.
Yes, i'm so glad, i had a meter. To be truthful, i won one on here,
Then i bought another one (same one) to be on the safe side.
I also remembered, my father had diabetes as well, i forgot completely. In my family you just didn't speak about illnesses. The doctor in Austria misdiagnosed him and he was nearly blind when they found it. He was ever so upset, he never went back to the family doctor of a lifetime.
So, i will get ready now and walk my dogs. I was so afraid, i had to stay in hospital. I'm living on my own and the doggies need me. Still, in the worst case, i could hire a dog walker or bring them to the kennels.
I guess, the dogs will get a lot of food i will throw out today. Stupidly, i didn't stick to the diet at all. The more weight i lost, the more i ate...
I will take the diabetes very seriously from now on. Thanks again for your help.
