Parent with Type 2 Diabetes

Hi I am on this so I can keep updated as my Mother has Type 2 and it is a struggle to support her when she will not let me help her. She has been taking Glucose & Vit c powder out of date and drinking out of date build up as she has been fighting a cold for the past 3 weeks . She is breathless, does no activity is widowed, eats little and often and has a larder full of chocolate! She was in hospital last year and I fear she will be back in again. Refused to see a Dietician last year and a scan at our local hospital. I have asked to speak to her Dr at her Surgery behind her back have I done the right thing? A confused and concerned daughter. She is also hard of hearing and refuses to wear a hearing aid due to Tinitus what can I do?

oh my Dana, what a horrible situation

I think you have done the right thing iin asking to speak to gp, they won't give you any info but will take your concerns on board.

Is there anyone else she listens to? I remember Hanadr on here saying her mum listens to her brother and he convinced her to listen to hanadr as she knows what shs's taking about.
