Hi. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I have been off work on full sick pay since November 14 and went to my GP this week to get signed off so I could return to work. The GP has given me a phased return to Work and has suggested a 2 day week followed by 3 day week etc over a four week period. I've had a meeting with my HR manager and they won't authorise a return to work until I see the Occupational Health Doctor so that they are clear what, if anything, needs to be done to facilitate my phased return to work.
Soooooo... They have sent me home until I get a letter from Occupational Health to go and see them. My sick pay runs out 4th March so I'm still on full sickness pay.
My question is, I have a Payment Protection Policy paying at present. How will they define my sicknote? If I'm not at work still do I need to get it changed? Can it be changed to unfit to work? Or will my PPI claim continue to be valid with a phased return to work box ticked which at present the company won't agree to?.

Any help greatly appreciated.
