Peanut butter

I loooooove peanut butter and I was so happy today when I read that it's only 1carb a teaspoon. I have the one with no added sugar organic. Please tell me this is correct. :thumbup: :thumbdown:
 
Also it may be worth trying to make your own. You can then control what goes in.

My daughter recently made some and vowed never to buy shop bought again,

Sure there is a thread on it in the food section.

I think she just blitzed peanuts in a food processor

The ingredients for peanut butter, is:

Peanuts

That is all. For even more diabetes friendly nut butter, use Almonds. Some jucers come with a nut butter attachment...

Depending on the make Patch they also include brown cane sugar, oil and salt.
 
Sorry - I meant the necessary ingredients to make your own...

Some (in fact, most common) brands have that completely unnecessary cane sugar added. I'm sure that's just to make you eat more of it!
