Hi
because I think about diabetes too much, I am wondering if the reason peanuts or any other nuts reduce my numbers by 3 points, (been bouncing along at 8 today, I have eaten some peanuts and I dropped like a stone to 5.5) could be that my liver is throwing out an awful lot of glucose?
I have not eaten anything today because I woke up on 16 due to an experiment with my humalin so because I am obviously hungry (not actually very hungry for some reason) I ate the nuts to try to avoid my bg rising.
I know the liver chucks out glucose but does this sound like a normal amount? I am assuming when I ate something without the carbs my body decided I no longer needed the extra help?
Just seems to me to be an extreme reaction? is there such a thing as an overactive liver?
