My levels dropped to 3.9 after my dinner, I was fine all day between 6 and 8 then after eating had the sweats and shakes. Most peculiar and have no reason for it. Any suggestions or similar readings. Felt really tired afterwards and again this morning.

Hello fellow Worthingite..
Sounds like your body isn't used to being so low ..what did you have for dinner?
I'm assuming here your profile is correct and you are taking metformin only?

I'm a type 11 on metformin and insulin. I was naughty and had battered sausage and chips from the chip shop after an afternoon of ironing

Diet drinks - the artificial sweeteners taste vile.
Having to forswear foods I have loved all my life.
Trying to find low carb meals when eating out.

Too much insulin?

Did you over compensate for being "naughty"?

Perhaps the fat in the meal slowed the carb response down and as some one else said your meds over compensated? D.
