Hi, like lots of people I carry my insulin pens around with me, my Novorapid Flex pen.

I've found sometimes that after having my pen In my coat pocket for a few hours means that when I next inject (having worked out correctly how many units I need by carb counting), my sugar will be high.

Does anyone else suffer from this, or agree/disagree and thinks it's not my pen getting too hot to work properly?

If it's close to a source of heat then there's a good chance that the insulin has been spoiled, get yourself a Frio wallet.

After reading this , I can relate when I put my novo rapid pen in my inner blazer pocket and do my next blood testing it tends to be on the high side
now I tend to leave my novo rapid in my bag

I'm glad I'm not the only person with this problem. Every single novo pen! It gets to about 50/60% used & it then becomes '****'. The pen in my bayer bag at room temp & still it ends up with bubbles & becomes less effective /:

Chelseaace - funnily enough my pen was towards the end of its run, there was less than 50 units in there. So maybe it was that as well. Thanks
