Yeah I think you do have to have buckets loads of patients with some people, that's nice i love animals too! So are you going to college to become a vet?
I'm from East Angliahave you been on this forum long?
Thanks mo, I didn't think I would hear from people for at least a while! This is great xx

Just a veterinary nurse, not a vet
I've been on for about a month. Finding it really beneficial actually!

He Jessica! There's always someone on here to say hi
I'm 24, diagnosed at 23. A year in and finding my feet! Like Indy I'm currently waiting to hear if my pump application has been given the funding.
I'm on Novorapid and levemir, and an engineer by trade. Not very girly but I make it work!

Two years to qualify as a nurse and then I'm not sure how to go into specialising but I know it can be done
I'm excited and scared about it!
And I need to find a vets to work in whilst I'm at college and I can't find one

Haha I couldn't be dealing with other humans blood and things!
I see animals differently. I'm not sure if it's because of all of the things you can catch from humans and our immune systems are low anyway. My nurse has always said to stay away from hospitals unless you absolutely have to go to one so why would I want to work in one? Haha!
I know what I can catch from animals and it's a lot less than what you can catch from mankind!
I've applied at every training vets within 10 miles from my house and there's no places
I'm going to have to get in touch with the college and see if they can help me out.

I can't blame you I'm in the same opinion of hospitals if I don't have to have to go then I won't. I know what you mean animals are so dependant so it's nice to be able to help them!
And oh that sucks!! I do hope you find a vets soon!!
Do you have an animals yourself? Xx

I'm so chuffed I've come back on to this forum, it's just so nice to speak to people In a simular boat!
Really, how come you want to go on to the pump? How have you found the past year? I've always thought of myself as lucky not being able to remember not being diabetic, has it been difficult having to get used to dealing with it day by day?
Sorry for all the questions, as you can probably tell I don't get to speak to many fellow diabetics..
Thanks jessica x
