I bought a kilo bag of lovely orange mini peppers for £1 at the market yesterday. They look delicious and are lovely raw. Any ideas what else I can do with them? I have halved and de-seeded a bagful and frozen them to put in stir fries. Will they make good soup?
Any ideas welcome.
Thanks @Brunneria, that gives me some ideas. I've also just seen @Robinredbreast's carrot and pepper soup on a different thread.
In the past I've bought kilos of mini plum tomatoes from the same stall for next to nothing, and simply washed and frozen them. The skins come off easily, and I just drop them into stews while still frozen.
Customer helplines that use recorded menus that promise to put me through to the right person but never do - and being ill. Oh, and did I mention customer helplines :)
Dont know about the little ones but I buy big ones and put them in curries or stuff them with minced beef, tomatoes, onions, garlic and herbs and cover them with cheese
Update - I've made some soup - carrot and pepper with onion and a small potato (to help thicken it). Delicious! It will last a couple of days in the fridge.
