Crisis time! My period is soon, obviously, as I feel like eating whole day. And the worst is that I'm craving mostly sweets. Fruit, unfortunately, isn't satisfying enough.

I know I should put a limit to it and I feel guilty but it's just impossible. And periods are the time when it feels so difficult to be a Type-1 diabetic. :(

So, how do other female fellows get over it and what do you do?

I've grown to like very dark chocolate. Tesco's 84% has been on special offer here so I've been eating that. My other chocolate hit is the cadbury's options hot chocolate.

Laughing Hyena, if you love dark bitter chocolate, you can't beat Alsi Moser Roth 85% cocoa! It comes in a handy pack of 5 x 25 gramme bars and all for around £1, a perfect treat & with the individual bars, it's easier not to have just that extra square  at just 5.5g carb per little bar, it's perfect for chocoholics.

Revontuli - can't offer any solutions I'm afraid; they don't call it the curse for nothing! I have very recently seemed to notice that I need more insulin in the days leading up to the start of mine, I found some research which supports this as well, so be careful. However, at the end of the day, if you can't stop craving sugar, have it at a mealtime & dose up with extra insulin to cover it, it won't kill you once a month.
