Hello,

I got the coil removed the other week and I have also started on the omnipod in preparation for trying for another baby. I have just started my first cycle since, today I am struggling to keep my sugar up? I have had the coil for 5 years since my little boy was born, and before that periods were few and far between and I never noticed a dip in my sugars before? Does anyone else experience this? I have had a -50% basal on most of the day and it's still struggling to rise much above 4!

Thanks
X

Hello. Yes when I get my period my blood sugars run a lot lower. It great because I want to snack a lot and can! :-)

Hi Sarah yeah that also happens to me, as @nmb264 says above its good because when you want to eat everything in sight it it all balances out nicely! Lol I use a temp basal and can bolus a lot less for food X

Thanks ladies! It only happened for one day, but guess I'm not back to normal yet, but hopefully I will be prepared next time! At least Mother Nature is kind to us there... Allowing us to snack more when we need to comfort eat!!
