Do your legs ache when you walk and do you find that by stopping for a few minutes then the pain is bearable?
This is quite common amongst diabetics and risk factors include,

.....Smoking.
.....Diabetes.
.....High blood pressure.
.....High triglycerides.
.....High levels of homocysteins, (explained here),
http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen ... s/249.html Could be low levels of iron and/or BVits.
.....Weighing over 30% more than ideal weight.

This website explains it very well,

This article suggests that treadmill exercises improve walking endurance and quality of life. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 174426.htm

It would seem that high levels of homocystein can be also be helped by taking a b-vit complex daily. Of course nothing is better than diet changes, exercise and life-style changes, but I started to take a b-vit last year, so I would like to think that this may be beneficial in the long-term.
