Phone apps for storing blood test results

I'm starting to look at a phone upgrade, and one of the things I'd like to think about is a log book app for my test results, preferably one which will allow me to enter insulin doses etc as well. However I have a few questions

First does anyone have an app they would recomend (or one they hate :lol: ), I'm looking at android phones so iphone apps are out.

Secondly, how do you go about getting the test results into the phone? Is it just a case of entering a number each time you do a test or can you get meters that link up with the phone?

Finally I need an app which will run entierly on the phone, not one which is going to link to my computer. I don't have access to a PC running windows so a lot of the log books and meters you can link to your computer are no use to me.
 
I use Ontrack Diabetes, you'll find it in the Market. The app is free. I can't post links so search for this app.

I find that this is quite comprehensive and allows you to tailor to your exact needs - you can be as thorough as you like. Everything is done in the app itself, however, make sure that you backup regularly.

I know you said you did not want an iphone but there is a really good iphone attachment called glucodock which you can use to actually test your blood sugars, I got mine online from Clear Chemist, the glucodock is not badly priced for an iphone gadget!
 
The glucodock does look like a useful gadget. Still the iphone is about 4 times more expensive than the phones I've been considering so I still think it's out of the running.
 
Thanks folks, got the phone and downloaded ontrack and it's working out well. Quick to enter info and the graphs are nice and easy to see what is going on.

Can't get the carbs and cals app to work though, it just crashes for me so I'll be waiting for a new version on that one. Shame as I was rather looking forward to not lugging the book around.
 
I have now got the app but all of my glucose results are on the far right of the graph and so not clear ,is there a way of moving it to the centre :?:

On Track is my favorite android app

I tried several apps but found them all either limiting or too comprehensive. This is simple and equates to keeping a diary. However the neat feature is that it can record other things as well. I have blood pressure problems so I can record readings for BP and pulse. Also you can set up multiple medications so for example I was able to adapt it to keep my record of treatment for haemophilia - before I used three different apps that all worked differently now I have all my medical stuff in one neat app. You can view the results in various formats and you can upload the record book and graphs for any period you choose to a simple place like dropbox.

I highly reccommend this app
