hi all
as any one else had a phone call regarding this new cure for type 2 and needing a £1.00 per week to get it made available to all type 2 diabetics.??????
told them to ring back they say they are from Diabetes uk.
It sounds dodgy Phil. I don't know how DUK fundraise (remember this site has nothing to do with DUK), but if they are trying to ask for it over the phone, I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. Next step would be to ask for your account details..

@ally1 had a similar experience, although thy were asking for much more money and there are some replies in the thread below. There is a suggestion from another poster as to how to contact DUK about these telemarketeers. http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/diabetes-uk.67982/
thanks just asking and to make everyone a were of it they did not know much about Diabetes. tried to tell me that type 2 is just a new illness and this would solve it in just 12 weeks. lol (if only)
I think they are referring to the Newcastle diet. DUK has given a grant for a 5 year trial of it after a small trial was successful. Why they would need to charge for it baffles me as it is freely available online and we have loads of posts here about it.
