I had the misfortune to have to go to Millom a few years back.New member here, i've been into photography for around 9 years now, based in Millom on the Duddon Estuary not far from the Lakes, have regular trips around the lakes and elsewhere, i'm also type 2 but i never seem to get misty eyes, i'm currently in a slump and trying to find new subjects to cature, for me landscapes get boring rather quickly. https://www.flickr.com/photos/vanzant76/

lol, it is a bit knackered like and could do with some updating, wouldn't live anywhere else though, the surrounding countryside and beaches are awesome, it might be a bit like the League of Gentleman but it is a nice safe place to liveI had the misfortune to have to go to Millom a few years back.
It's like the end of the world!
Great big jail blotting the landscape with a ticky tacky prison officers housing estate jut plonked there and I have a memory of a derelict corner shop of red brick.
Not my idea of nice I'm afraid.
CheersWow very nice pics!
Cheers, i fancy the idea of portraiture and also live action photography but rarely get the chance, my mate who i go on trips with refuses to do anything but landscapes and long exposure waterfalls, it just doesn't interest me all that must anymore but seeing as it's his car i got to put up with it lol, i did a 365 project in 2013 i lasted till the middle of october and hurt my back so didn't complete it, might try again next year'Lovely photos @Skydog76
I'm very much in to photography as well.
It's more portrait I am in to but like to try my hand at various other genres.
Have you ever thought of doing a Project 52 or Project 365 for inspiration??

Sounds like good fun @chris loweI enjoy photoghraphy , but am firmly of the 35mm brigade. Looking forward to some better weather so I can get out and about. I also belong to a small camera club which meets weekly. Some weeks have a model (usually someone that one of the guys has seen in the local supermarket and chatted to to get them to come along) We are currently talking about getting a sound activated switch so we can photograph things like balloons bursting. We've had our own calendar printed last year - about two pictures each, which was fun.
