Hi all, I'm not new, comming up for 2yrs now, on metformin, bs average 6's, last hb was 4.2, its just that I had a really strange visual experiance today, and thought I'd ask the good folk on here...if they know anything??

Will try and explain it... it lasted for about 20mins,,, it was if i was looking through someone elses glasses, like magnified in one area, and not in anther, as if i had a floating lens in my eyes, and i felt quite weird not light headed, but light if you can understand that? i think confused would best describe it.. maybe it was because i could'nt focus on a static area, any views on this???
 
Did you check your BG to see if perhaps your BG was low?

Any colours or headache of any sorts?

I get painless migraine... And get the flashing zigzag horseshoe shape of colours part of the migraine but not the thudding headache phew!

But if you'll worried get your GP to check it out, if you feel it can't wait a optician or small injury unit rather than main A&E can check out if anything of concern is going on

I had the same experience with the vision and the strange feeling I also couldnt think properly and couldnt remember the name of someone that I know well. I didnt go to the GP which I probably should have done ,I thought I would go if it happened again so I will be interested to hear what you find out.

No nothing like that,it was as if there was a floating lens in front of my eyes

Have you had your retinal screening lately? Dont want to worry you but thats similar to what i experienced before finding out i had retinopathy.
It may not be anything like that but its always best tohave these things checked as if its anything its best to get it treated as soon as possible.
Please let me know how you get on.
