Pinch or fold in the stomach area?

A while ago whilst researching pins and needles to the legs I came across a condition in those who like me are overweight and carry weight around the stomach. It talked about the weight in this area causing a 'pinch' or fold to either a nerve or some other tube to the side of the stomach which can only really be prevented by losing weight.
Does this ring a bell with anybody? I can't for the life of me find anything online about this and I can't recall whether it was a nerve or a blood vessell or something else that gets folded over, but it's somewhere on the side of the stomach area.

Meralgia paresthetica is what you were looking for I think.
It can cause numbness, pain, pins and needles and or itching in a specific area of the skin on the upper outer thigh.
Happens to me when standing or walking for a while, sometimes only after a longer while, sometimes after a couple of minutes. The feeling in my skin returns to normal as soon as I sit down.
For me. it's thankfully only numbness, which is annoying but nothing worse. I'm not worried about it.

It really affects only a specific area in the upper thigh, so pins and needles anywhere else in the leg are not caused by this.

Oh yes that's it, thanks!
I have a permenant dead patch on one thigh which came of suddenly. It's on my left thigh, just above the knee on the side about the size of a hand. It doesn't annoy me much to be honest, but I think a cortoze injection was suggested to help fix it.
