I received a newsletter about a device that is finally on the market that measures blood sugar without having to pinch!
Is this true?

By not having to "pinch" I assume you mean that you don't have to prick your finger? With the Verio IQ you have to prick your finger with a lancet in order to apply blood to the test strip.

Strange. Check out the Freestyle Libre, that's the only CGM that don't need you to calibrate (by measuring your glucose with an ordinary meter).
