Pins and Needles

Ive only been diagnosed with Diabetes 2 for a few months and still trying to get my head round it. I am eating healthy (finding this hard with bread, crisps but i will do it) Ive been having pins and needles in my left arm, hand, leg and foot for some time. Do i need to speak with my Dr about this for medication? I take Metformin 3 times and day and have high colestoral, which i was taking a statin but have stopped taking that as i was getting aches and pains in my chest area, I will be seeing my dr about this. My left arm is also swollen compared to my right arm which has been like this for some time. Could this be a blockage, i cant stop reading symptoms on the internet and its scarying me! I do suffer from anxiety ( although havent had an attack for a long time) and am always thinking my symptoms are relating to what im reading. Sorry to go on but i really am scared.

Hi. I think you need to see the doc soon. Diabetes doesn't cause swelling and pins and needles only tends to happen in long-term diabetes where there is nerve damage (neuropathy)
