Pistachio nuts...

Do people really eat 100g of nuts at a time? They're too filling

I can eat much more than 100g I suffer from the "this giant bag of xxxxxxx, can't be empty already, someone must have stolen them (I live alone)) That's why I try to buy them in the shells as this slows down my eating.

...are they ok to have as a type2 please?
20g of shelled nuts (about 25-30) have 112 calories and 3.4g of carbs so not too bad as a snack.
They are such fiddly bu*@*#s to shell that you don't overeat them anyway.

They are outside the carb range I allow myself, 18 percent net carbs and I try to stay below 10.
Pecan, macadamia and brazils are fairly low carb, about 4gm hazel and walnut are middling at 7gm, and almonds are on the line at 10 - though the ones I get are labelled at 9.5.
Peanuts are also middling but have far more impact on me than non legumes - although they are called a nut they come in pods not true shells.

All nuts are pretty good, EXCEPT for cashews, 30g carbs/100g.

Nuts are my goto snack, I try to restrict myself to about 20gm at a time - a small handfull- max twice a day. They do seem to increase my fasting BG in the morning if I have some at around 10pm, so I try only to have about 5 or 6 nuts then. Takes away the food craving!

Luckily cashews don't seem to affect my BG negatively and they're high in resistant starch apparently, so should be good for the gut.
