Pizza ...

We are going to a our favourite pizza restaurant tonight to keep my OH happy - also so tired through work I've no desire to cook

Did anyone who is LCHF ever try just eating the topping? I'm thinking it might be more interesting than a mozzarella and tomato salad??
 
I have eaten just the top before - but you have to have a will of iron not to eat the crust! Don't scrape too hard as you will pull some of the base into the topping - enjoy your evening and as I always say it's not about the food but the occasion and the company
 
I find most pizza places do a pretty mean salad, Origano in Edinburgh does two to die for... and then there is the anti-pasta starter that can be stretched out to large...
glad I'm cooking coz now peckish.
Hope you find something.

@hankjam there was red wine .... but I ate just the topping! I looked at the salads and other stuff but just didn't fancy it. So the Porchetta pizza, I just ate the cheese and meat. Boy did I want to eat that crust - but I didn't. 2 hour deadline up soon so will be interested to see BG ....
 
I make a fantastic pizza at home using joseph's low carb pitas, a bit of tomato puree, and loads of cheese and pepperoni
 
I have eaten just the crust. I probably would have ordered the salad and have the toppings off a piece or two. Best of both worlds!
 
@PenfoldAPD good on you for just keeping to the topping and goods to the 2hrs!
 
So 2 hours in... 5.4 I can cope with that, and I think I enjoyed it just eating the topping - but let's be honest ... I could've eaten the whole darn thing and been very happy!

But control is good! And good BG make me more happy these days

So an early swim then straight to a hospital appointment today. Tesco or McDonalds the food choice as had to eat after swim and didn't go home.

I looked up double sausage and egg mcmuffin 27g of carbs, was tempted to dump the muffin and try it. But no monitor on me and will be at hospital for around 2/3 hours. So ready to eat chicken breast and a Laughing Pig portion it was. Let's hope this control lasts I think pizza topping is enough testing this week!
