Having gone through parenthood many years ago I know what it is like when children demand something that they obviously like ? What you firstly can try is giving her water with a LITTLE juice in, she might be happy with that ? You have to stop her drinking so much juice, you can't just give in for the sake of a 'quiet life.' She doesn't need it....you are just giving it to her.

You are doing the right thing in going to the Dr's. They can test her if needed. Please try and cut back on the juice - not good at all to keep giving it to her !!

The terrible twos can be a nightmare in any child, but the little word "No!" needs to be learned. Juice isn't good for your diabetic baby.Try VERY dilute juice and see if she'll take it, but if she screams to get her own way, you simply have to resist, otherwise she'll take over the whole household and you'll be appearing on "Supernanny". with an audience wondering how you let things get to that point.
My 18 month old (healthy) granddaughter will try a bit of a gizzle if she's told "No!", but settles down soon enough when she sees we mean it.
I realise that you are coping with the stress and probably suffering some guilt, with a baby who has a life threatening condition, but you do her no favours letting her have what she wants. Also
am I remembering your post right. do you say she's drinking this juice from a bottle? that will rot her teeth. A cup is safer.
What kind of Blood sugar readins is your baby getting?
What meals does she eat?

My daughter went through a stage much the same. She was just drinking more, and very active.
She's screaming because most likely she's thirsty, not because she's a brat, so don't worry.
Give her all the fluids she needs, there's no fun in drinking, and thirst can be very painful.

She might have a small infection, she might have the flu, always makes me feel thirsty.

She won't drink because it's fun, she drinks because she's thirsty.
My daughter's 18m/o now, and perfectly healthy.

I understood the baby to be screaming because the only drink she wants is juice. Of course she should have a drink if she's thirsty.Water is the ideal.
My own daughter and now my granddaughter were both used to the idea that "drink" means "water".
Granddaughter doesn't scream for drinks, just asks and immediately gets a cup of water. I carry one in my bag when we're out together.( along with spare nappy, nappysack, wipes, tissues and disposable bib :lol: I have a huge bag) Juice is a rare treat.
