please help night time testing

I'm no expert but 4.0 is low. I'd be inclined to have a biscuit and then go to bed and test in the morning. You have no idea if you are going lower or if your BS is now going higher. Are you on medication like Glicazide?

thanks Denise
for my t2d i take this
I'm on Metformin 500mg (2 in the morning and 2 evening)
Gliclazide 80mg (1 tablet with breakfast)

Hi Sue

I've only been on gliclacide since December and I'm only on 40 mg. Gliclacide can cause hypos. If you have been trying to cut carbs then you may be on too much of it. Eat the biscuit now and keep testing over the next few days and if you keep getting that low, I'd go back to your HCP and see if the dose is too high.

thanks Denise,
I have cut down on carbs and also portion sizes as i was getting high readings, it seems you can win
Just tested again after having marmite on toast and its gone up to 5.3 so i think ill go off to bed,
night night
