Hello Forum,

My name is prateek tiwari and i am new here.. From last one year my father was suffered from Diabetic Neuropathy..Below are the details

Age - 70
Diabetic type - Type -2
Glucose fasting - 110
posting- 200-230

I had done almost every test related to Nerve e.g.. EMG,NCV etc...
after suggestion of family neuro surgeon, last month my father had operated for Neuropathy Biopasy...
But after all treatment running for last one year, my father still not able to walk properly... He told me that after the waist all thing are like stone to him... facing very difficult to walk....

We are hopeless now.. doctors that this situation leads forward to Paralysis.......:(

I also have some peripheral neuropathy in my feet, but not debilitating, just annoying. For me, getting my blood glucose to normal levels seems to have stopped the progression. All my doctors have said there's no cure for the nerve damage that has already been done. Post meal levels of 200-230 seem too high to me. Perhaps low carbohydrate diet might help? It has worked for me. Good luck.
