pneumonia jab today?!!

Hi

Having my 1st pulse test this afternoon. think its something to do with checking your blood flow to your legs and feet, also having a pneumonia jab!! is this essential? any side effects?, will ned a flu one nearer to the time, i should have had the checks last week but was ill with a tummy bug.
 
Have the pneumonia jab.

Pneumonia makes non diabeteics very ill, it kills a good percent of diabetics.
As a diabetic you are roughly 3 times more likely to die from pneumonia.

My 4 yr old got the pneumonia jab this year. He got so many chest infections after colds/flu last year that I'm hoping it will improve this years outcome. Next year he will also start getting the flu shots. The only side effect was the injection site got quite red and hot and caused a blood sugar spike but considering his age this was expected.
