Pneumonia shot

My husband and I had a pneumonia shot when we became eligible for it as pensioners this was eight years ago and the same time I found out I was glucose intolerant after the hospital fasting glucose test.
Does anyone know if this is a one off jab or do we have to have a booster anytime

I was told that I needed to have another shot in 10 years time. It doesn't seem to be the same for everybody though. Some people are told it is for life. Maybe it depends on which vaccine they use so you should ask.

I had mine around 10 years ago and told I'd never need another jab, however looking on-line there are exceptions as the following article explains:

I was offered a pneumonia shot when I turned up at my GP's for my 'flu jab, on Monday gone.

The nurse told me it was 'for life', with no need for any booster in the future but, given this post, I'll now check this when I next go to the docs.

I had mine last month and told it was a one off. I remember it was quite painful after.
