Poor control

Hi all I have been diabetic for 6 years and for the past 4 years I've had poor control, I inject twice a day instead of 4 times a day and never test but now I am going to try 100% to get it back under control. I forgot how much extra insulin I have got to give if my blood is high, so I'm just wondering if anyone can help me out?

A correction dose on basal/bolus ( 4 injections a day) you divide 100 by your total daily dose of insulin, so for myself that would be 100 divided by 34 which is 2.94....rounded to 3 so 1 unit of insulin would lower my bg by 3mmol.

Not sure what insulin regime your on or whether the 100 Rule would be applicable, best you speak with your diabetes team about your diabetes control and insulin adjustments.
