Hey, I'm new to this forum, recently I have been showing all the signs to having diabetes, but I put it down to being generally warn out and stuff. But whilst at work (I work in a hospital) a nurse noticed I was showing signs of a hypo so I took my blood sugar level, the result was 2.6mmol/l the symptoms were weakness, disorentation, and I felt dizzy. I'm not sure if there was any other symptoms because its a blur now. I had eaten my lunch 3 hours prior to this. I was given some glucose powder which melted on my tounge and an energy drink, I felt great after, hadn't felt like that for weeks! but after that I took my BM again and it read 5.7mmol/l which is spot on. I had some soup and 2 slices of bread too and 2 hours after that I took my BM again as it was time to go home and I wanted to see what it was doing and it read 4.4mmol/l. The morning after I took it after not eating after around 9 hours and it read 11.3mmol/l what does that mean? should I see my doctor? could this be diabetes or is it just me over reacting?? I eat healthy generally. and both types of diabetes runs in my family. any help and advice would be very helpful.
