Postcode Lottery For Pm's Diabetes Patch

It goes to show a) how misunderstood the use of this technology is and b) how little effort goes into the average article of an Express journalist when halfway down the article they highlight the misuse of a Libre sensor during driving as a benefit of the system.

One day, maybe, but not yet.

This is kind of old news - we keep hearing/reading it and Diabetes UK have been doing a survey to find out where the Libre is funded.
However, if this old news can put some pressure on the NHS to fund more Libre, that's not a bad thing.

I agree with @ickihun : the Libre is not a replacement for fingerpricks and anyone doing their calculations assuming it will save the NHS test strips is on to a loser.
It can be a huge accompaniment to test strips ... if people are trained how to use them. Otherwise it is a waste of money,
I compare it to using a smart phone - if you are only using a Libre to take spot readings (like you do with finger pricks), it is like using a smart phone to only make phone calls. The huge advantage of the Libre is to spot trends and make adjustments.
