I am back to this forum because almost 2 years ago I posted with similar symptoms, although they coincided with use of antibiotics.

I have sweet taste in my mouth again, along with headache, fatigue and so on. I went to a hospital on Sunday and had blood glucose level of 5.2 around 3-4 hours after meal. My fasting blood glucose was 4.6

I was not eating much food for the past 3 days because of feeling unwell and ill. My urine swells fruity as does my breath. I had those symptoms at the hospital and had my urine tested along with blood glucose levels and was told "all is fine" and discharged. I am not convinced though. I was feeling quite bad for the past few weeks with not much energy, headaches that come and go and tingling/itching of my body.

There is honestly something wrong. I am not taking any drugs to cause side effects like last time. Yet experience ketones in saliva and my urine. Any ideas? I booked a visit to the doctor but not sure what to tell him to ring his alarm bells and provide more thorough investigation besides measuring blood glucose at an instant of time and telling me all is fine.

You have excellent readings from what you have told us, and from your previous post in 2016 along the same lines, you had a remarkably good HbA1c. Your urine was fine according to the hospital, so presumably no glucose or protein.

We can't diagnose you, but can say there are many reasons for sweet breath and sweet smelling urine. Ketones are very likely to be present if you are not eating enough food (you say you are not at the moment) as your body is likely to be burning fat for energy.

Maybe another visit to your doctor and tell him how bad you feel?

bluetit is right. relax it does not seem your diabetic head back to your doctors.
