Type 2 potasium sodium

on the 1st of july i stared to feel very weak in my arms n legs plus every where els, so my gp thought it might be my muscular dystrophy starting again but i thought its not its something els, the gp took a blood sample and told me my salt in my blood was low, i was given a 2 weak dose of potasium sodium tablets and told that i was needed a blood sample in the next 2 weeks, i was told to stop with the sodium tablets and a few days later i took a blood sample, the gp has since told me that i have to take sodium for another 2 weeks, im still on the tablets, every morning i get up i feel weak untill i get something to eat, has anybody els had this trouble, thank you,
 
There has been a fad around for some time which implies that salt is bad for you. The truth is that you would be dead without it since you need to keep your electrolytes up for your nerves to work. Wildly excessive salt is bad for you but so is every kind of excess. Salt is necessary for life.

Dr Malcolm Kendrick says that if you are sufficiently ill to go into intensive care then they put you on a saline drip. 0.9% of salt means 9gms per litre and three litres per day mean that they give you 27g of salt per day. When you feel better they put you back on the ward with food that tastes of nothing since it has no salt in it.
