Have you got any scales? It's a bit difficult going off "egg-sized" and I'm not entirely sure whether you're referring to gram weight or gram carb content. There have rarely been potatoes in this house for the last five years, so I can't weigh any and show you a picture.
A potato that has 15 grams of carbs would on average weigh around 100g. This is based on the rough estimate that potatoes are around 15% carb (being otherwise mostly water). The internet says that one medium russet potato weighs about 170 grams or six ounces, and the potato is about 4 inches long. I would expect there to be around 26 or 27 grams of carb in that one potato.
The attached picture shows (or says it shows) one single 100g potato.
Does that help?

Which potatoes though, there’s more than one type of raw potatoes, weighing different amountsAccording to the Diabetes auk Carbohydrate Reference List, raw potato has 17g carbs per 100g of potato.
LOL i often pre bolus then eat way too many potatoes then have to take some more insulin after the event.New potatoes I weigh 100g and count 15gm of carb. I don’t worry about different types. As a type 1 if you find it doesn’t work allow extra insulin next time and just do a correction this time.
An average potato. The difference between breeds will be so marginal as to make little or no difference once all carbs in a meal are taken into account. And it's 17g per 100g - weigh the potato and do the maths.Which potatoes though, there’s more than one type of raw potatoes, weighing different amounts
Yeah it does, is the 100 grams potato equivalent to fitting in the palm of your hands? And is it abit more bigger than a new potato and an egg sized potato, I don’t have a weighing scaleAccording to the Diabetes auk Carbohydrate Reference List, raw potato has 17g carbs per 100g of potato.
