I'm Type 2 diabetic and I love potatoes, the only ones I have found which contain less starch are Vivaldi and they're tasty too, the only place I found I can get them is Sainsbury's, they sell small salad type and large baking types. I never mash them as I was told this releases more starch. It's also possible to grow them in the garden or in potato sacks if you have the room.

Sainsbury's own "baby new pots" in bags are only 14 grams carbs per 100 and not starchy. Just have them boiled with butter. A few only mind! Most small new pots like charlotte are lowish as well.
