Pre diabetes??

My name is Arianna and I am new to this forum.
My GP told me I am pre diabetes, but I attend a chest specialist and he said I was not pre diabetes!
I had a HbA1c blood test and the result was 45. What does this mean?
Any help would be appreciated.

The Hba1c test is a test to find your average blood sugar level over the last 8 to 12 weeks. A reading above 42 suggests pre diabetes and if it were over 48 it would be full diabetes.

At this point I would like to tell you not to worry, this is not that bad and there are things you can do to control it.
