Me, well type 1 , 41 yrs. my hubby is overweight, angina, bad back, fluid in knee and few yrs ago our GP said he'd become diabetic if he didnt change his lifestyle. He's inactive, some mobility probs, not worked fir 5 yrs, has severe clinical depression.
For past several months he's been getting hypo's. Yesterday morning he was so shaky, his bg was 2.4
Sometimes they go up to 10, though more lows than highs. GP did a hba1c test and said its borderline and that Neil is pre-diabetic and could become diabetic in 6 months if not change lifestyle. Of course he's not changing anything.
Not a lot I can do. I try to encourage him. I have a stressful lifestyle at moment with hubbys depression, our 16 yr old daughter took an overdose on Saturday, thankfully she us ok after being in hospital on a drip. She suffers from depression and pscyh services for her are not brilliant. The liason psych Dr gave her 2 leaflets at yhe hospital and said "she's a bit flat". We're waiting for a refferal for her-no rush of course, grrrrr.
Our son (23) has adult ADHD (he's on Concerta) and depression. My blood sugars are up and down a bit.
Sorry didn't mean to turn into a big ramble. Xcathy
