Pre-diabetic questions

Hope you enjoyed your cauliflower cheese! I don't know if I already wrote this on the thread, but the LCHF diet looks like it would be bad for my kidney problems. I thought some about you saying I need an holistic view. You know, I can't find anyone in my area who does this kind of thing. I feel like I need a nutritionist at least, but someone who can look at the whole me would be good! Have suffered really bad today with the nausea and terrible bloating pains. I am so fed up at the moment. I have to go another two weeks until I see a consultant, and even then it will be just a chat.

Do I need to worry about potassium, sodium or phosphorus in free foods?

Fats and simple sugars are considered free foods and contain only small amounts of potassium, sodium or phosphorus when used in the amounts listed to eat..

Found this on a kidney disease site. With bg problems you may want to take it easy with sugar, but fat seems to be free.

Thanks...I think I will do some fat shopping! I have been on a low fat diet for two years.
