Type of diabetes
Treatment type
Diet only
Good morning, a little after 8 am. here. Got the news a day ago, started monitoring BG and food intake yesterday morning. Not on meds yet. Insurance figuring out who will pay. Been on and off again at the pre-diabetes stage for years. Now they want it to be Type 2. My problem is the head, facial sweating, with almost any continuous activity. ( Vacuuming, raking, exercise) was wondering if anyone having the same type problem?

This type of sweating is called gustatory sweating.
  • Gustatory sweating (sweating induced by food or drink), which may be due to diabetic neuropathy, preauricular herpes zoster, invasion of the cervical sympathetic trunk (by tumour or injury) or surgery to the parotid gland (eg, Frey's auriculotemporal syndrome).

It can also be a sign of autonomic neuropathy,

Sweat Glands
Autonomic neuropathy can affect the nerves that control sweating. When nerve damage prevents the sweat glands from working properly, the body cannot regulate its temperature as it should. Nerve damage can also cause profuse sweating at night or while eating.
