Prediabetic? Or needs confirming?

Hey, I have had a blood test non fasting glucose 7.8 result just one hour after breakfast.
I have been asked back for heamaglobin test
Do I have prediabetes or will I have to wait for the hemoglobin test?
Should I buy a glucose monitor?

Hi @Nancy78 and welcome to the forum.
A one off reading is really not going to tell you much as to whether you are a pre diabetic.
Wait for the results of the HBA1c test and see what that is.
