pregnancy tests and diabetes

Hi I'm just wandering if anyone has had pregnancy symptoms,had a negative result on a test but actually been pregnant? I've heard that sometimes diabetes can affect a test, is this possible?
 
Not happened to me personally lol but, you can have a false negative but not a false positive. Many reasons as why tests show negative. Couple are urine infections, our something else in urine that shouldn't be. hormone levels not high enough to show a positive, especially early

Edit, can show a false positive if on hormone injections such as progesterone.
