Pregnant and retinopathy

I don't have any experience, but recall Dr Bernstein talking about this. Maybe worth finding his book online if you don't have it, or watching his videos? Hopefully somebody here can help soon.

My retinopathy progressed to proliferative at around the same stage of my second pregnancy - 6 weeks - or at least that's when it was picked up on my annual screening. I think tightening up my control for pregnancy is what caused it to progress. I was rushed straight in to the specialist eye clinic for a laser appointment, but I didn't need it just yet. I was seen every month throughout pregnancy and each time was a laser appointment so they could do it straight away if needed, but it remained stable throughout and since (touch wood) and so I am now on 4 monthly reviews again and baby is now 26 months. I too was completely panicked and freaked out convinced I was going to lose my sight but it has been ok so far. I hope it will be the same for you! Good luck x
