pregnant lady HbA1c is 9.7% does it is harmful..?

Hi every one,

I'm raj kumar from India.My sister is a pregnant 7th month running i.e-25th week. now she was affected by diabetes .We took the HbA1c test and the test result says that she has HbA1c-9.7%. So we are getting little bit worried .does the reading is above the normal level does it will harm the baby and mother. pls clearly explain me the situation. we found the diabetes in her 6th month. So I request you to suggest me the preventive measures to control the diabetes.

Didn't the Dr prescribe insulin or meds? They tend to be conservative in aus and do that for tight control

The Doctor prescribed the insulin and the dosage is U-35 units per day and given directions for diet.Doctor said that no need to worry much and said be careful in ur diet from now on-wards that's enough he said. thanks for ur reply jack412.
